📚 HPA Homework Club Thursdays – Activity Description

A calm space to focus between classes.

At Hoi Polloi Academy, we understand that some of our students have a considerable gap between their scheduled classes — especially on Thursdays. Rather than asking families to arrange multiple drop-offs and pick-ups, we are offering a Homework Club to provide a structured, supervised, and calm environment for students to stay on-site, revise, or complete schoolwork.

👦 For Whom?

Junior & Middle School Students (Ages 7–9)

• Ideal for students attending both the Contemporary Beginners class (15:30–16:15) and MusiKidz (17:15–18:30) on Thursdays.

🧒 Supervision Policy

• 🔒 As a general rule, Junior and Middle School students are not permitted to remain at The Creative Hub unsupervised.

• ✅ Students in this age group must either be in class, picked up on time, or booked into a supervised programme such as Homework Club.

👩‍🎓 Senior School Students (Ages 10+)

Students in the Senior School who attend both the Contemporary Intermediate class (16:15–17:00) and Exam & Performance class (18:30–20:00) may remain at The Creative Hub in the gap between sessions (17:00–18:30), provided the following conditions are met:

• A parent/guardian must email Ms Marilyn (admin@hoipolloimalta.com) to give consent.

• Parents must understand that no supervision is provided during this idle time.

• Students are expected to behave responsibly and use the time productively (e.g. doing homework or reading).

🕒 Timing & Location for Homework Club

• Thursdays | 16:15–17:15

• The Creative Hub, Triq l-Iżbandola, Qormi

🧑‍🏫 What to Expect

✔️ Calm and quiet environment
✔️ Supervision by a designated HPA staff member
✔️ Encouragement to complete homework or engage in quiet reading/writing
✔️ Students may bring a snack or water bottle
❌ Please note: This is not a private tuition or academic support session.

💰 Fee

• Homework Club carries a small fee to cover supervision and space usage.

• Booking must be done in advance via our online platform Pembee to confirm attendance.

🗓️ Booking Information

• Booking Deadline: Friday 12th December 2025

• Children not booked into Homework Club will not be allowed to remain on-site between sessions unless otherwise stated.
